The last year was amazingly unproductive.  I'm a bit shocked that I've become someone that is mostly motivated by a project through its popularity.  I have always dreamed of having the freedom to work on my own stuff and thought the thing that kept me from that was time.  I'm embarrassed to admit that this is just not true.  I seem to be motivated by the big projects that I work on and work best in those high stress situations... sadly.  The most work I've done since leaving DICE in November is the tests that I took for the two game companies I applied to.  I spent 10x more time on those than my own projects!  What does that mean?  Am I broke

Well another 3 years have past so I thought I would do a brand new journal entry.  Let's see.. Happy Birthday!
thanks for watching!
How did you do it? How did you get into this business? I want to school for it, but I can't get anyone to let me even get my foot in the door to design posters, let alone do character design, without interning for a year with no pay...and I can't do that right now. By the time I'll be able to, I'll have gotten so rusty at everything...gah!

Loved Jimmy Neutron, btw. I met John Davis once, while I was still in school. I asked to get my photo taken with him like the nerd I am.
Lots and lots of hard work. :-)
